UARK Printing: Your Guide to Campus Printing Services

Forgetting to print an assignment before class? Is your personal printer out of ink? At the University of Arkansas, you have convenient printing options available right on campus. The Tech Spot labs, including locations in Mullins Library, offer general access printers for all your printing needs.

With PrintSmart’s Web Print, you can easily submit documents from your personal devices. Whether it’s a PDF or files from Microsoft Office applications like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, you can send them to any Tech Spot lab printer across campus. To release your print job, simply scan the QR code located on the printer and follow the prompts. Please note, if you are off-campus or not connected to the UARK Wi-Fi, a campus VPN connection is required to access PrintSmart.

Understanding Your Printing Quota

Each semester, every student receives a printing quota equivalent to 350 single-sided black toner pages, valued at $35, at no initial charge. To monitor your usage and remaining balance, simply log in to printsmart.uark.edu using your UARK username and password. If you need to increase your printing quota, you can easily add funds by clicking “Add Razorbuck$” and transferring money from your Razorbuck$ account to PrintSmart.

Specialized Printing Services at the Student Technology Center

For projects requiring more than standard printing, the Student Technology Center is equipped with a Xerox printer capable of handling various formats and media types. The center stocks resume paper, cardstock, and tabloid-size paper, in addition to standard copy paper. If you require a specific paper type, you may also bring your own.

Regarding costs for specialized prints, color printing is typically 50 cents per page, black and white is 10 cents per page, and tabloid size prints are 60 cents per page. Charges for special printing services can be directly billed to your Razorbuck$ account or paid out of pocket.

Minimizing Paper Waste on Campus

In 2021, an astonishing 2 million pages went unclaimed at Tech Spot printers. You can contribute to reducing paper waste and save your print quota by carefully selecting only the necessary pages when printing large documents, books, or articles. Furthermore, utilizing duplex printing, or printing on both sides of the paper, through the printer settings can significantly reduce paper consumption.
