Navigating campus printing can sometimes feel like a maze, but at Kennesaw State University, printing documents is a straightforward process designed for student convenience. Whether you need to print assignments, study materials, or personal documents, KSU Print offers a seamless system right at your fingertips. This guide will walk you through each step, ensuring you can easily utilize Kennesaw State Printing services across campus.

Step-by-Step Guide to Printing at KSU

Printing your documents at Kennesaw State University is a simple process, but it does require a few steps to ensure a smooth experience. Here’s a detailed guide to help you get your printing done quickly and efficiently.

1. Fund Your KCash Account

Before you can print anything, ensure your KCash account has sufficient funds. KCash is KSU’s cashless payment system, and it’s necessary for paying for printing services. You can add money to your KCash account online through the KSU website or at various locations on campus. Make sure to check your KCash balance before proceeding to the next steps to avoid any interruptions.

2. Access KSU Print Portal

Next, navigate to the KSU Print website. This is your central hub for uploading and managing your print jobs. Log in using your KSU NetID and password. This secure login ensures that only authorized KSU students can access the printing services and manage their print queues.

3. Upload Your Document

Once logged in, you’ll see the option to “Upload a document.” Click on this, then select “Browse” to locate the file you wish to print from your computer. KSU Print supports various file formats, including PDF, Word documents, and more. Choose the file you need and upload it to the portal.

4. Refresh and Review Your Uploaded File

After uploading, click the “Refresh” button, which is typically located at the top left of the screen and indicated by two circular arrows. This action updates the page and displays the file you just uploaded. It’s a good practice to double-check that your document has been successfully uploaded and is visible in your queue. Remember, all print jobs are automatically charged as color prints if any color content is detected in the document.

  • Checking Your Print Center: To confirm your document is ready for printing, you can visit your Print Center. This section provides an overview of all your pending print jobs, allowing you to manage and review them before releasing them to a printer.
  • Deleting Files: If you need to remove a file before printing, simply select the file in your queue and click the “Delete” icon, usually located near the “Refresh” button. This is useful for removing accidental uploads or outdated documents.

5. Release Your Print Job at a Campus Printer

With your document uploaded and ready, you can now release your print job at any Ricoh copier/printer located across Kennesaw State University campuses.

Releasing Your Print Job: A Quick Guide

Follow these steps at the Ricoh printer to get your documents in hand:

  1. Locate a Printer: Go to any Ricoh copier/printer on campus. For black and white prints, any machine will work. If you require color printing, ensure you use a designated color printer.
  2. Tap Your KSU ID Card: Tap your KSU ID card on the SmartCard Reader attached to the printer. This authenticates your account and links it to the print system.
  3. Select and Print: On the printer interface, select the print job(s) you wish to print from your queue. Then, press the [Print] button on the printer panel to start the printing process.
  4. Collect Your Documents: Once printing is complete, remove your printed document from the output tray.
  5. Log Out: Remember to tap your KSU ID Card on the SmartCard Reader again to log out of the printer. This ensures the security of your account and the printing system.

Important Note for Students: Laptop printing is exclusively available for currently enrolled KSU students. Guests and students from other institutions like Georgia Highlands College cannot print from laptops using guest cards or non-KSU IDs.
