Score Big Savings: Stock Up on 3D Printing Filament This Black Friday

Black Friday is just around the corner, and for 3D printing enthusiasts, it’s the perfect time to replenish your filament stash without breaking the bank. With potential tariffs looming and the ever-increasing demand for quality materials, grabbing deals on 3D printing filament now is a smart move. Like me, you might be looking to stock up on reliable and affordable options before prices potentially rise.

For over a year, I’ve consistently found incredible value with brands like 3DHOJOR and JAYO filament on Amazon. Consistently finding deals under $13 per spool, translating to less than $0.31 per ounce, makes them a go-to for budget-conscious creators. When you compare this to premium brands, you really see the savings. Take Bambu Lab, for instance. While their printers are fantastic, their filament prices can be significantly higher, often with stock issues and less flexible return policies. Unless you absolutely require the RFID spool system for their AMS, it’s worth considering if the premium price is justified. In my experience, and echoing many in the 3D printing community, 3DHOJOR and JAYO filaments, with proper calibration, can actually print just as well, if not better, than some higher-priced alternatives. And when it comes to customer service and ease of returns, especially with Amazon, the value proposition of these budget-friendly brands becomes even more compelling. A bad spool? Just send it back – hassle-free.

My journey to finding these affordable gems actually started with Bambu Lab. Initially, when I got my P1P, the higher cost and frequent stock shortages of their filament pushed me to explore the open market. This led me to discover the power of Orca Slicer tuning and realize that with the right settings, even discount filaments can deliver exceptional results. So, thank you Bambu Lab, for inadvertently fostering my thrifty side and leading me to these fantastic, budget-friendly filament options just in time for Black Friday!

Here’s a peek at my recent filament haul – a testament to smart shopping and great deals.
