Printing and Scanning Options with CougPrints

Coug Printing provides versatile options to suit your needs, offering two primary methods for printing:

Printing from Your Own Device or Library Computers

  • My Print Center: Upload your documents to the My Print Center from your personal device. You can then securely retrieve your prints from any Coug Printing machine on campus using your Cougar Card. This method offers flexibility and convenience, allowing you to print from anywhere.
  • Library Computers: Alternatively, you can print directly from any computer within the library. When prompted, simply enter your Network ID, choose ‘CougPrints’ for black and white or ‘CougPrints Color’ for color prints, and retrieve your documents at the printer with your Cougar Card.

Scanning and Copying

Besides printing, Coug Printing machines also offer scanning and copying services. While scanning on CougPrints machines incurs a small fee of $0.10 per page, each library also provides free flatbed scanners located near the computers. These free scanners are excellent for projects that require cost-effective scanning solutions. For more extensive copying needs or services like faxing, CougPrints Plus, located in the CUB, provides additional options.

Payment for Coug Printing Services

Using Coug Printing requires a valid Cougar Card loaded with Cougar Cash. This system is available for all current WSU students, faculty, and staff. Guests without a Cougar Card can purchase one at the CUB to access printing services.

Understanding Printing Costs and Credits

  • Student Print Credits: Undergraduate students receive a print credit each semester, covering 75 black and white pages or 25 color pages. Any unused credits conveniently roll over to the next semester, maximizing your benefit.
  • Printing Costs: Standard black and white printing is priced at $0.10 per side, while color printing is $0.30 per side.
  • Scanning Costs: Scanning on CougPrints machines is also $0.10 per page.
