Tampa Printer Guide: Your Go-To for Printing at UTampa

Need to print documents on campus? The University of Tampa’s SpartanPrint system offers convenient printing options for students. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about using Tampa Printers at UT, from wireless printing to checking your print balance.

Wireless Printing with SpartanPrint

SpartanPrint allows you to send print jobs from your personal computer or device wirelessly. You can then release your prints at various printers across campus using your Spartan Card. All wireless prints are double-sided and in black & white to conserve resources and keep costs down for students.

How to Use Web Print

To utilize wireless printing, follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit the SpartanPrint website at spartanprint.ut.edu.
  2. Click on the “Web Print” option.
  3. Select “Submit a job” to begin your print job.
  4. Choose the printer cfisherFollowMe (virtual). This virtual printer allows you to release your job at any SpartanPrint printer.
    • For specific Library Lobby printers, you can also select PRLIBLOBTQ127 or PRLIBREFTG426.
  5. Upload the file you wish to print.
  6. Once your document is queued, simply swipe your Spartan Card at any SpartanPrint release station to finalize and collect your prints.

Troubleshooting Wireless Printing

Important Tip: Ensure your device is connected to the UoT_Students Wi-Fi network to successfully use SpartanPrint wireless printing.

Printing from Computer Labs

For printing directly from University computers, the process is even more streamlined. Library and computer lab computers are equipped with SpartanPrint pop-up functionality.

When printing from these computers:

  • Printing defaults to black & white, double-sided printing at the nearest available printer for efficiency.
  • If you need to manually select a specific printer, ensure you choose from the Cfisher printer list.

Here are some common computer lab printer locations:

  • Reference Lab 131 (Library): Printer PRINTER TH645 (Black & White)
  • MKL Lobby (Library): Printers PRINTER TQ127 and TG426 (Black & White)
  • Computer Lab 106: Printers PRINTER TG938 (Color) and TP701 (Black & White)

For color printing Tampa, you can select printer CFISHER TG938. Color printing is also available in the Jenkins Technology Building, Room 153 (Computer Lab).

Managing Your Print Balance

Each Spartan student starts the semester with a $30 print balance. It’s easy to monitor your balance and add funds as needed.

Checking Your Balance and Adding Funds

To check your print balance, view your print job history, or add more funds to your account, visit spartanprint.ut.edu.

Faculty and Staff can manage their print balances and history at printing.ut.edu.

Understanding Print Costs

Here’s a breakdown of printing costs with SpartanPrint:

  • Black & white copies: 15¢ per double-sided page
  • Color copies: 50¢ per double-sided page

Dispute Form for Printing Issues

If you encounter any issues with printing, such as errors or incorrect charges, you can submit a Printing Reimbursement request form to dispute charges and seek assistance.

Scanners and Copiers

  • Scanners: Two scanners are available for student use on the 1st floor of the library.
  • Copiers: Please note that copiers are not available in the library. If you need to make copies, scan your document to a USB drive and then print the digital copy.

Fax Services

  • Fax Machine: Fax services are not available in the library. For faxing needs, please visit the Vaughn Center Bookstore.
